WHAT I DID TODAY-read

This morning I woke up very early because I had a workshop to attend. I went to learn about making books using long stitch binding. So first I went to McDonalds for breakfast. Do you ever go there? I notice that whenever I go there are many of the same people. It seems that especially seniors start off their day eating breakfast, reading the paper and meeting their cronies at McDonaolds.

Then I went to my course. I arrived early so was able to find a parking place. The sign said I could only park for an hour but I left my car for the day there anyway. Luckily I didn’t get a ticket.

Then I walked over to the store where I thought the class was going to be held. I waited! The store remained closed. Soon a woman came to ask for someone but the name didn’t sound like mine so I ignored her. BUT then the owner of the store drove up and asked me if I was waiting for the class. I was in the wrong place. Anyhow it was only a half block away so not a big problem. I went over….only three other women.

WELL the teacher asked me if I could speak French and I said only a little! She said that she would conduct the class mostly in French and I could ask questions. WHY?????? The rest of the women were bilingual and said it would be okay with them! I couldn’t understand. She did translate I guess the important things so why didn’t she just talk in English?

Anyhow we proceeded to make the book and I needed a lot of help. I felt so STUPID!!!!!! At times the teacher seemed patient and at other times I think she wanted to pull her hair out. The other women did need some help but not as much as me. I wonder if part of the reason was that I did lose something in the translation.

Anyhow I finished my book and it turned out very well. Now I have to decide what I will do with it.

Then I came home, had a nap, supper and now I’m online. Hubby is too. If I don’t plan to do something or our friends don’t he would just SIT at home all the time. BORING!!!!!!!! Anyhow we have plans for tomorrow so it’s ok.
