Well, to my mind, the only really important secret to making the roast turkey come out just right, is basting it every half hour. I do this even if I’ve bought one that says “self-basted.” Cuz I like a good juicy turkey that is also crisp on the outside. For stuffing, I get the seasoned croutons and add anything I feel like adding…. onion, celery, mushrooms, chopped apple, diced veggies, raisins, whatever I happen to want to add. Along with the hot water and butter, of course! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

id help but im not good at the whole turkey thing..thank god we only have it on christmas here! xxx

Soup! My mom used to make the most delicious turkey & vegetable soup after Thanksgiving and would freeze it in containers for the next few weeks. Just perfect for a snowy, cold day’s lunch or dinner, with a salad or whatever.

I like cornbread stuffing and I make a killer soup out of the leftover turkey bones. Thanks for your note about my back, too.

I cooked a turkey once in my life. Though I am very good at eating them. My tip, from experience, is do not confuse teaspon of pepper with tablespoon. Mr Secretary
