TRAGEDY STRIKES AGAIN

ALL I CAN WRITE IS WHY???????????????????
WILL WE EVER FIND OUT?
MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL THE PARENTS, SPOUSES AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE SUFFERING SUCH A GREAT LOSS.
WOULD IT BE BETTER IF THESE TRAGEDIES WEREN’T BROADCASTED?
DOES IT GIVE OTHER PEOPLE IDEAS?
DOES THE MEDIA HAVE TO MAKE SUCH A FUSS OVER THESE TRAGEDIES?
SHOULDN’T FAMILIES BE ABLE TO SUFFER IN PRIVATE?
ONE CHANNEL HAD A GIRL ON WHO WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HIM MANY YEARS AGO? SHE HASN’T SEEN OR TALKED TO HIM FOR YEARS? WHAT PURPOSE IS IT TO INTERVIEW HER?
I FOR ONE WONDER WHY THESE MURDERS ARE HAPPENING.

I WOULD LIKE TO BLAME WORKING PARENTS BUT I WON’T. PLEASE DON’T COME DOWN HARD ON ME. I AM JUST TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF THESE TRAGEDIES.

I think there is much more than working parents. I think violent video games and some of the horrible movies that are out there desensitize people. I also know that they are not right in the head. I don’t think this stuff happened in say the 1920’s because it didn’t occur to the nutso’s to do it. They would kill people they knew, and themselves, but wouldn’t go to downtown and shoot up a dance. ( I don’t think anyway, maybe I need to do more research)

I found this! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bath_School_disaster Shocking. It was a school bombing in 1927.

there is no sense to it except that guns are too easily accessable in USA. Even those with ‘mental disorders’ obviously find it too easy to find a firearm. No country in the world has had as many of these tragedies as the US in recent years, but unfortunately “there is none so blind as he who will not see.” hugs p

*HUGS* I’m just as devestated as you have expressed here. So senseless…

The accessibility to guns have nothing to do with it. The things our children are exposed to that are considered okay has a lot to do with it. They are exposed to videos, movies, games of violence all the times. Their favorite rappers sing about glory killing of cops. And we have closed down many facilities for the mentally trouble where so many parents could get help for their children.

lots of factors to consider – agree with whowhatwhere. I also tried to figured it out in my latest entry

I too am trying to make sense of that senseless shooting spree. How can anyone want to kill innocent children. I keep looking at my wonderful 10 yr old Grandson and my beautiful daughter who works at the Elementary school here and knowing exactly how those parents and grandparents must be feeling. I am with your first noter, I wonder if it is the violent video games that are part of the problem.

too many guns in the hands of crazy people

ryn: yes it is fine but if I get any gun nuts trying to convince me that guns are OK, they are going to get an earful!

The first time I read your entry I had not heard and didn’t know what had happened. My heart is broken.

We didn’t hear about this until the middle of the day on Friday. One of the patients came in and told one of our staff members. This is so very awful. I came home turned on the TV to see what happened and I cried. Those poor families. Everyone’s life will be forever changed by some madman.
