TODAY’S THE DAY

Tonight is my or I should say our Hanukah party. We are just about ready but there is still stuff to do. Last night my daughter slept over so we will have a day or two together.

So today I have to:

1. clean the house

2. organize chairs etc.

3. set the table

4. prepare dishes and cutlery for serving

5. put icing on the cupcakes

6. decide on the "schedule" for tonight( when to serve what)

I’m looking forward to tonight but also a little nervous. I’ll be happy when it’s over.

Yesterday I decided we should have a party for hubby’s family so it will be on Friday. I am not sure how many people are coming yet. As my SIL called her cousins to invite them to our party we learned that one cousin is in Montreal and needs a BRAIN operation. Another one stepped on something and needed an operation on his foot.

Anyhow the reason I decided on the party was because I felt we were so lucky to be in Florida. We are so lucky to be well. We are so lucky to be able to afford to make the party. We are so luck to have relatives in Florida. So I toldhubby we should do it and he agreed. I went to the store yesterday and bought a bunch of ready made chicken. Not sure what else I will make at this point. We will also serve leftovers from tonight. That’s anoher reason I thought we should have the party. We will be able to use the leftivers and the house will be ready. I might be tired BUT I will have invited everyone and can sit back the rest of the time here.

So that’s my story. Time for breakfast and I must get thibgs ready.
