THREE HOMES AND A POOL

In response to some of your notes I thought I would write this entry. First and foremost I do not have a pool. I always wanted one but hubby would never agree. When I take my grandchildren swimming we usually go to a pool in a hotel.
Now as far as the condo I mentioned it is because I think we should move out of our large home and move into a condo. A condo would be on one level and would be easier to manage especially since we are away all winter. This house has stairs and has too many rooms for us now. They are filled with my hobby stuff but if and when we move I would probably get rid of most of it. It would be nice to live in a condo with other friends. We are very comfortable here as we have lived here for about 37 years so I am not pushing it. Besides hubby doesn’t want the expense of moving. All our friends have moved from their homes so I think we should too. I think we should move while we both have the strength to pack and get rid of stuff.

Now we do have a condo in Florida. We are lucky that we bought it many years ago and are still able to enjoy it.
Last but not least we have a trailer which we bought about 20 years ago. My hubby loves the trailer and condo in Florida. We are in a senior community where the condos are very affordable and the activities and entertainment at night is cheap.
We have been fortunate that hubby did well and we are able to afford these three homes. We do struggle now because we are still supporting my daughter in university. The market has been lousy. We have a lot of expenses and hubby will NOT give up the condo in Florida or the trailer.

So there you have it. Yes I am a very lucky woman.

Yes you are lucky, I am just hoping to keep my one townhome!

I’m going to call you “Three Homes” as your Native American name. LOL!

lol here are our OPINIONS, that’s all. 1. Youare old enough to have a pool (even if your husband doesn’t agree), He has the condo and the house-since he won’t agree to get rid of ANY of it while you want to. So make one decision for yourself, have a pool. (You can have a TINY pool but that is a beginning). 2. Keep two homes, and then you can always go to one to be by yourselfif that is what you wish to do. 3. You can DOWNSIZE without moving. Things that you want to get rid of—do that now, do not wait until you move. If it is clutter (not used in three years and not sentimental, then donate it or throw it away). downsize for real that will make you FEEL so much better. thse are just our personal opinions.

I have been pricing and looking at these pools for two years lol, (not ready to buy yetsince I am SOOOO new to this house). I have to see what taxes are etc, etc. and expenses before I invest in a pool. check this out http://www.endlesspools.com/ or you can just get an inflatable kiddie pool. Having your own pool is Verycool. saves driving to a pool ….etc. more comfy THe fastlane company even has hot tubs –considered that? lol smaller than a pool and sooo wonderful

sounds very lucky to me. a pool is a lot of upkeep. i wouldn’t want one. take care,

Yes, but I can appreciate the effort it takes to keep them all up and to go back and forth etc. I hope you can talk your hubby into a new condo in place of your house. It would be easier and as you say, closer to your friends.

hey do you have any mortgages on those three homes?

RYN. wow that is great@!!! during this recession period it is good live yin a home that the bank does not own. Kudos to you!!! keep your homes, hold on to them. Right now, a home with no mortgage is a veryu valuable asset!!
