THIS AND THAT

I am feeling a bit depressed tonight. Of course maybe it’s because it’s 1 and I should be sleeping. This morning I slept in until 11. I haven’t done that for years! That’s probably why I’m not tired now.
I was also fighting with the TV. They added high definition channels and I just get so confused with the remotes.
I was looking through the pictures from my son’s wedding. I guess I miss my children and grandchildren. I am choosing some to put in a scrapbook. I can probably start tomorrow.
Nothing much today. I went to the pool for awhile. I took back my needlepoint. I hope she isn’t too upset. She kept saying how much work it was and it is. I was sitting at the pool doing nothing so I took it and will do it myself. I don’t make such a fuss about doing it. Maybe I’ll take her out for lunch. She wants to help me choose the colours. I can really do it myself but I guess I’ll ask her to come when I am ready to buy the floss. Then it’s up to her. Most of the women here are so ANAL about doing anything especially their needlepoint. The back of their canvas looks as good as the front. I can’t see what’s the difference about the back. No one is going to look at it.
I bought the Kindle Fire after reading all the reviews about the Kindle and the Nook tablet. Finally yesterday I decided on the Fire. At first I thought I would buy both and try them out. Then I just bought the Kindle. This morning I was trying to get my books but couldn’t. I called Amazon. They told me I had two accounts. I asked them to combine them but they said they couldn’t. I was so frustrated so tomorrow I will return the Kindle and stick with my old one. That’s it. I am really not going to shop for awhile.
We played bridge tonight. One of the couples wanted to watch DANCING WITH THE STARS since it’s the last show so we finished early. I really don’t know what the attraction is. I don’t know any program I would quit a game early for.
Nothing planned for tomorrow. We are going to friends for supper. Last winter the woman said she makes the best rack of lamb. I am nervous as usually when someone brags about something I end up NOT liking it. OY!
Last night we went to see WATER FOR ELEPHANTS. It was playing at our clubhouse for free. I had read the book a few years ago. It was pretty good.
So I guess I’ll close and maybe read some of your entries. Take care.
