THE BEGINNING – ok

Today I am preparing for our holiday. It is the beginning of a New Year in the Jewish calendar. My kids will be coming for supper. So I have cooked and baked for the past two days.

For supper we will have:

chopped liver

challah – round

chicken soup with noodles

brisket – pickled and plain

roasted turnip and sweet potato

honey cake and Danish chocolate chip cake

I have prepared seven candles so that everyone can light a candle and offer a prayer or whatever. I wanted to start a new tradition.

I have set the table. For once NO plastic on top of my good table cloth. No paper dishes etc. Using a "good" set and real cutlery. Why not? Of course the only problem will be doing the dishes after, but maybe, just maybe I will get some help.

I have brought my laptop up to the kitchen so I don’t have to run up and down. I will be here most of the day.

I am thinking of keeping a diary on bloop diary so if this site has problems you can get in touch with me there.

RYN: sometimes I tell my mother that I am working on it. (her coming to live with me) I just like to be as honest with her as I can. Today she was not talking too much so it wasn’t a problem

I have another diary online, and I think I can retrieve most of my entries from it. But at the moment I am just celebrating this brand new start…loving being back in your company.

I am amazed some of you have the time for more than one diary…..good for you! I found those days OD was off I got so much done around the place, caught up with other mail etc….this is a time consuming place. However, I wouldn’t want it any other way!! LOL Happy new year to you dear Ginger, and I hope your family gathering is truly blessed. RYN: don’t you even have a cat? hugs

You’ve cerainly been busy preparing for the celebration supper with your children. I hope all went well And I hope that you soon get all your diary entries back. The DM sounds hopeful. And last time OD was hacked most diaries came back. Mine was not accessible for three weeks then but it was finally recovered; hopefully yours will be too.

mmmmmm…..sounds like a wonderful feast!
