SO SCARED!!!!!-ok
I went to bed about an hour ago. As I was trying to fall asleep the alarm went off. I was terrified. I jumped out of bed, went downstairs and turned it off and then right back on. I walked around the house – pretty brave of me I think but saw nothing so I went back to bed. I couldn’t relax so here I am. I am so tempted to just get into the car and leave!!! I HATE being alone in the house. I called the alarm company but it didn’t ring at their place. I guess I turned it off too fast. I have a panic button right by my bed so I am sure I can get to it before anything would happen. So scary though!
Tomorrow I will get my son to call the alarm company so they can check the system. Maybe we will just have it updated. It’s quite old.
Hope you have a great drive..I think maybe it was an animal that maybe triggered it?

That was extremely brave of you to walk around. Since I got my first dog, I’ve never been scared at home alone. Dogs will always alert you if anyone is lurking around. I can’t understand why an alarm system would just go off accidentally. Even if it is old, it shouldn’t do that, should it?

That is scary. Brave of you to walk around the house. I’m so thankful for Tanker our German Shepherd. He is always on patrol and alerts us when he hears something day or night.

I don’t know anything about alarms….but I guess if it goes off, you are not supposed to get out of bed and turn it off….cuz what if there IS a burglar?….instead you should wait on the police to respond?? The alarm at my parents house use to go off a lot at random times. It’d scare the crud outta us. Hope you have a safe trip to FL!
