SO HEARTWARMING

Last night my daughter and my hubby spent the whole evening putting together a kitchen island for me. I thought it would take days for hubby to do it but my daughter got involved and in a couple of hours it was done!!!! I was so happy to see them working together and of course I was happy to see my island ready for use. I put stuff into it but I’m sure in the next few days I will rearrange things. I have very little counter space here so now I have more. Normally it is ok but when I prepare supper for guests I need a lot more than I have.
I still have one drawer empty because that’s where the cockroaches seem to live. I don’t want them crawling over my utensils. It is so very annoying. I have to call the company to spray again although it doesn’t seem to do anything. I wish hubby would get upset too but he doesn’t.
So tomorrow I have to do some cleaning. I especially have to wash the floors because they are filthy. I must see if I have a swifter that works. If not I’ll have to use an ordinary mop!

Aw, it is always nice to see our kids working together or with our spouses…. especially when they’re doing something for us or for the good of the whole family! :o) !! I like it when Joey and Joe work on things together too. I sympathize about the roaches and about your hubby not getting upset. What is wrong with these men, anyway? Why don’t they see how absolutely disgusting things like roaches, mice-in-the-house, ants, and flies are?? I hope you find a way to get rid of the critters soon. hugs, and Happy New Year! Nicky

If you get some boric acid powder and put it in the crevices around the kitchen, especially in that drawer, it will kill them and then you will have happy drawers! 🙂

I had bought one of those Shark steam floor cleaners. I loved it. It really cleaned the floor so good. The only problem was it died on me a year after I got it. I bought one for my mom and the same thing happened. I’m sure there are other brands out there that would last longer than 1 year. Ask people who have one they do work great on the floors.

Glad you have a new kitcehn island, I never seem to have enough space in my kitchen too. Have you tried those sonic traps for the roaches? It is supposed to drive them away.
