SO FAR TODAY

I am baking a honey cake. It turned out so well last week that I thought I should make another one. Soon I have to get ready for our semi-annual visit to the doctor. Going with hubby. Hopefully everything wll be ok.
I am not doing the Wii today. No time and I am doing some exercise moving things around in the house. I think the house will go up for sale next week. So many mixed emotions. We are still waiting for the gardener to come trim the shrubs etc. We are still waiting for the repair man to come fix a few things. I don’t want the house to go for sale until these things are done.
My daughter called. She has to pick up a few friends and then will be on her way home. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not giving up on my grandchildren. I just don’t think I will pick them up on a regular basis anymore after school. I haven’t mentioned anything to their parents yet but I will this week. They don’t seem to be excited or enjoy it anymore. They don’t want to do anything I can suggest and to be honest I have a difficult time being motivated anymore. It was much easier when they were younger and just going to McDonalds was exciting.
So I better take a shower and get ready. Have a great day and if you are FASTING for the holiday have an easy fast.

Take care of yourself. You are in my prayers. Why not a little later down the road have a meeting with the grandkids and get ideas of what they would like to do. Yesterday Desiree and I had fun just going shopping for poster board for a school project. She is high school now and so grown up. Corey was happy I went to his game to watch him play. After a while they may want to go to McDonald’s again. Love,

i’m glad you aren’t giving up on your grandchildren. that saddened me when i read that. they have different interests now that they are growing up. hope your house sells quickly. take care,

When they do not want to do anything you suggest, why not ask them, “Got any good ideas? What should we do? Questions I like to ask (grand)ids are , if you could do anything, go anywhere what would you do? Most times, their answers are simple and some easy to do. go , ask. And you have some resources, you might be able to do their suggestions. Ask , “What’s your most favorite thing in the world to do” (EVEN if you think you know that already, ask them again, see what their response is). You can ask these questions without promising anything, then go home and think things over and SEE if you can do these things with them. Bored is normal sometimes in life. Let them be bored . Heck , allow yourself to be bored. Don’t worry, it’s not illegal. dangit, go SIT with them and be bored a bit, perhaps you’ll might come up with ideas together how not to be bored. peace.
