I HOPE THIS WILL WORK.
I am up in the middle of the night but won’t complain as it has been happening much less than it use to. I actually killed two bugs since I woke up. It seems like it will take a long time to get rid of them. I hate them! I am just not use to living with insects of any kind. It creeps me out to think they can show up anywhere and at any time.
I finally finished reading A PIGEON AND A BOY. I missed out a lot of description which I didn’t enjoy. I started ANY KNOWN BLOOD. It’s was written by the same author as THE BOOK OF NEGROES which was very good.
Tomorrow afternoon I am playing MAH JONG. At night we are going out for supper. One of my neighbours keeps asking us to go out so I figured tomorrow was a good time as we weren’t busy. It’s strange because as I was leaving the condo yesterday I thought about stopping by and talking to my neighbour. Just as I reached the elevator there she was. So we made plans for tonight.
I hope to start meditating today. I’ll start with about ten minutes…………….anyone else meditate. Our neighbour swears by it.
So I better get back to bed.
Don’t try too hard to meditate–it is self defeating. Just try to sit, listening to some baroque or soothing music, and concentrate on breathing in the count of four and out to the count of eight. You will relax yourself, but your mind probably will not really quiet. Just keep bringing it back to focus on your breathing. Another trick that helps me is to visualize light/energy coming infrom my feet, rising up through my body, to finally emerge from the crown of my head, and cascade down my body to the earth, completing the circle. (This works unless you fall asleep–in which case it has worked, just for a different goal.)
