PLANNING A PARTY
I am going to start planning for our fiftieth wedding anniversary party. It will be held Spring 2013. I spoke to my SIL and it was decided that the party would be in TORONTO. Most of our family lives there although our friends all live here. I am not sure how many of our friends will travel but we decided it was more important for our family to come. My SIL already suggested a place so when we go to Toronto in a few weeks I hope to see the place. I am somewhat disappointed because I wanted to have it in our synagogue where we got married. I wanted to ask the Rabbi who married us to renew our vows. I realized I just can’t have everything. I am very excited to begin plans. I have been thinking about this for a long time.
Imagine being married fifty YEARS!!!! Today I think most marriages don’t last fifty months! My hubby agrees to the party but he doesn’t want to spend too much. I think we should spend whatever it costs. After all this only happens once! I want to invite absolutely everyone – all our friends and relatives.
So there are exciting times ahead.
I can’t believe we will be leaving for Florida in a little over a month. November 1. Of course I have two dentist appointments, one for the family doctor, one for my neurologist and another for the eye doctor and the gynochologist. It will be a relief to finish the visits and then get into the car to head for Florida. Hubby will leave with my son November 2.
I am wondering if and what my eldest son is up to. We hardly hear from him anymore. He worked on the holidays and while the rest of us were here most of the time he wasn’t! Has he met a girl?????? He called me the other day to ask about an interior decorator? All of a sudden he wants to make changes at home………..he wants to change the two bedrooms into three……….has he met a woman with children? Is he waiting for the right time to tell us? STRANGE! I guess I will find out soon enough. This kid was always around so this is unusual behaviour. I know he is finally working full time and does play baseball and is in the finals.
So I better try to get some more sleep. Take care. Be well.
how exciting…you will enjoy that. Planning is half the fun. hugs p
