PACKING
Of course things look different in the morning. Hubby didn’t sleep well. For whatever reason I did!!!!!! He said that the worse part will be signing the check for the renovations. As far as I’m concerned if we can afford the changes so what??????????? I am determined to do what I have to and the best way possible. I have told hubby over and over I will not ACCEPT patchwork. Whatever we do will have to be PERFECT. I don’t expect expensive but I want quality work with whatever we do.
This morning hubby went to move my car and it wouldn’t start so he’s calling AAA. Not what we needed this snowy morning. We want it out of the garage so we can move boxes into it.
We are discussing things quietly so think we will be ok.
We are so different but we are both being very patient with each other. We are reigning in our tempers!
I go from room to room packing and sorting. Since my cleaning lady is coming soon I’m anxious to pile things up for her to take home this afternoon. Hubby has to think each step out very very very carefully before he makes a move. We both get things done in our own way, in our own time! The solution is that we more or less stay out of each other’s way. I have my territory and he has his.
I have a bunch of eggs for my cleaning lady to pack. Also mugs which we haven’t used in ages. She will take them home! I’m not moving them! I did ask my hubby’s opinion and he wants me to take all my eggs so I will.
I spoke to one of my niece’s last night. She lives in TORONTO. I asked her if she would come for Passover. She remembers that her first Passover was here about 20 years ago!!!!!!!!!! I hope she will come but it makes me nervous. If she comes then my other niece will come to and my sister. That would be another 13 people added to about 18. OY VEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s 31 for supper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We’ve had that many years ago but I was a lot younger!!!!!!! Of course I have my cleaning lady coming and I would get one or two more people to help. Maybe I would use some plastic dishes because I am sure I won’t have enough dishes! Even hubby was happy to hear they might come. I was so relieved and happy that he wouldn’t mind. I’ll keep you posted!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a lot of work, but fun work. Especially since all you really have to do is oversee everything!

Wow — what a thing to think about in the midst of a move. I admire your ambition and I bet it’ll be awesome!

What a plate full you have! Moving can be extremely stress-ful even in the best of circumstances. It’s good that you and your hubby are taken the role of not getting on the other’s nerves 🙂

good luck with the packing, and even more so with catering for so many people. If its a struggle why do you do it each year? Can’t someone else take a turn? Especially as you are moving. hugs P
