OUR CRUISE – EDITED

We returned from our cruise early this morning. All in all we had a great time. It was hectic with our three grandchildren but it was heartwarming to all be together. When we boarded the ship we wore our T shirts. After that everyone remembered us!!!! The children dirtied their tshirts right away so they couldn’t be worn again. Maybe I should have bought baseball hats.
Our room was great! It had a curtain dividing the bed and the rest of the room. My daughter shared our room except for sleeping so the room was a constant mess!  My daughter slept in the room with my grandchildren. She wasn’t too happy but there was no choice. She tried to sleep on the couch in our room but it was not comfortable.
The food on the cruise was not anything to write home about. I don’t think there was one meal that I really enjoyed. The food came cold, had no taste and the steak was tough. I think they cut down on the prices and cut down on the quality of the food.
The weather was cold and rainy on the islands. At Labadee we got a chance to go swimming and then it POURED. By the time I came home everything was wet and soggy. I already did three washes. Now to fold them.
The entertainment was enjoyable especially the magician last night. His name is Chad Chesmark. We also saw a great ice dancing show on board. We had time to go into the hot tub a few times. Sometimes the children went to camp so we played SKIP BO. It was fun being just the adults. We spent time in the arcade. With all the rain there wasn’t much else to do. I went to the casino with my daughter a few times. I didn’t win anything!
I am still not sure I enjoy a cruise that much. I will know more after our next cruise with our friends.
My son’s girlfriend came in pain and sick. She went to the doctor who put her on antibiotics and then she was a bit better. She is a big complainer and nothing is good enough. She is also strict with the children which is both good and bad. She insists the children go to bed on time no matter what is going on. She thinks they act up when they are tired and she is probably right. At the table they were always playing DS. It makes for a quiet meal but I am not sure I agree.
All in all I was happy to be with my family and was sorry that it ended way too soon.
