ONE HUNDRED-read

 

 

MY BROTHER IS VERY SICK. THE CANCER IS SPREADING. LUCKILY I WILL BE SEEING HIM WHEN I GO AWAY ON FRIDAY.

 

 

 

 

 

While driving back from my quilting class I realized once again just how lucky I am so I am going to try to think of 100 reasons I have to be ever so grateful. (in no special order)

1. I have a car.

2. I have a house with lots of room for my hobbies and family of course.

3. I have three healthy children.

4. I have one adorable and healthy grandson.

5. I have enough food to eat(too much in fact.

6. I can afford to have help for my mother in the hospital.

7. I live in a great country.

8. I can see.

9. I can hear.

10. I have two arms.

11. I have two legs.

12. I have a bed to sleep in.

13. My house has heat and air conditioning.

14. I have a home in Florida so miss the worst of the winter.

15. I can walk.

16. I can play the accordion.

17. I can paint.

18. I can knit.

19. I have some close friends.

20. I enjoy the simple things in life.

21. I have books to read.

22. I have a TV to watch my favorite programs.

23. I can smell the roses.

24. I have a trailer where I spent summer weekends.

25. I have a washer and dryer.

26. I can taste my food.

27. I have a good singing voice.

28. I can crochet.

29. I live in a peaceful country.

30. I have travelled to Israel a few times.

This is a good thing to do. I’m envious of your #27. I wish I could sing. Also, knitting is something I’ve always wanted to learn to do but never had the patience.

Great idea to take inventory! I would say you are blessed and you haven’t finished the list– so there is much more for which to be thankful

RYN: My mother has a legal guardian because she is mentally ill and unable to make her own medical and financial decisions. I was asked but I was not willing at the time.

Was just catching up on your recent entries. Sorry to hear you are down. Counting our blessings is a good thing we should all do. You deserve to be happy and it is important to seek out the help you need. Am sure your friends on OD are wanting only the best for you. Hope today is a good one. The scrapbooking get together sounded like good fun.

You can play the accordian?? That’s is neat! I should do this sometime…helps put things into perspective. *ryn* yes, 6 or 7. Right now i’m in 8 or 9 and I hate it…that extra weight bothers my knees so badly.
