OLD ENTRY/OLD ENTRY/OLD ENTRY-ok

SATURDAY, MARCH 3, 2001.

Sitting in Indigo in Toronto on Yonge Street near the Novatel Hotel where we are staying. We are here for our niece’s son’s Bar Mitzvah. My son is here also – sharing our room. My other son stayed home because their dog needed an operation. Poor doggie! Anyhow I’ve picked out a lot of books as usual trying to decide what to buy. I also chose some stuff for the girls – my niece’s children. I don’t know if I should buy them anything – 16 dollars each  – not much but it adds up. Do I buy them stuff because it makes me feel like a big shot? Do I just want them to be happy or do I just need to spend? I wish I knew? Of course I am buying books for myself. MAYBE I should run out quick and buy nothing but then I know I would feel deprived and make up for it another time. What a difficult decision! It’s also the beginning of the month so I can be a big shot. Then of course at the end of the month I will have to scrimp or worse go into my piggy bank. DECISIONS????????????????

Nothing wrong with gifting little ones, making them feel fabulous and getting to feel like a bigshot at the same time. Multitasking.
