NOT MUCH – OK

There is not much going on at Gingers. Even though tomorrow is Thanksgiving we aren’t doing anything. We don’t celebrate the way they do in he USA.
Yesterday I was lazing around all day. I got rid of a few things from my scrapbook supplies. I found a few more pictures of my daughter. She will just love the scrapbook I am making her. While in Florida I will work on one for my SIL who won’t be coming to Florida this year.
I went on the treadmill.
I spoke to my daughter and we bought tickets for a play which is suppose to be a little like Cirque Du Soleil. The show is an hour and we have to stand. It is suppose to be amazing. I hope so!
At night we went for supper. We had reservations at one restaurant but something went wrong so we ended up at another. The food was good so no problem.
Today we are having company for supper. I am preparing a very easy supper. I bought bread, fresh bagels, cream cheese and smoked salmon. I will make a cream of asparagus soup. I will cut up some vegies and onions. Maybe I will make some cheese perrogies. They are bringing cheese cake for dessert. After supper we will play bridge.
In the news here – a man speeding the wrong way KILLED two people and severely hurt another. He is getting FOUR YES FOUR years in prison. Say what? Is that justice? I don’t think so. He should get the death penalty. As far as I am concerned you take a life you give your life. Our justice system is very very screwed up. THERE IS NO JUSTICE.
So I already set the table.
I went food shopping.
I went on the treadmill.
I spoke to my cousin. She won’t be coming to Toronto with us. I feel bad but it is better for us. She was planning to spend time with her brother but he will be out of town.
So I think I will work on my daughter’s scrapbook for awhile.

Your dinner sounds wonderful. Can you believe I’ve never had asparagus? I never grew up with it and have absolutely no clue how to prepare it. LOL! And I don’t think buying a “canned” vegetable or fruit is the best way to introduce one’s self to it 🙂

I also always love reading about all the wonderful food you cook for your family and guests. :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

I smiled at the “nothing much is happening” With a meal out last night and guests tonight? That’s definitely something, in my book!I’m not sure about how justice is served. The only think that would be just, in my book, is if time could be wound backwards and the event could be run again, but this time without the deaths/injuries/lawbreaking. But I don’t see that ever happening. If a person who killed is then killed, I doubt that he/she knows anything about it. The ones who do suffer, for the rest of their lives, are his/her family. I just don’t think life is fair, and there is no way we can make it so.

it seems Thanksgiving ( only an American thing) is celebrated even more than Christmas. I know you don’t do that either, but I think you have Hannukah coming up soon don’t you? hugs P

Asparagus soup sounds yummy! Four years does not seem like enough punishment for someone who has taken a life.
