NEWS FLASH

I don’t have much time as my daughter is picking me up soon.
We are still in Toronto. Hubby went to visit his brother. I woke up late. I missed breakfast in the motel so I walked over to Burger King – only about ten minutes. I sat there quite awhile eating and reading my book called I MISS MOMMY. It’s about a little girl who is take into foster care. Since I had foster children many years ago I am enjoying the book.

The news flash is:

MY DAUGHTER TOLD ME SHE IS DATING!!!!!!!!! AS FAR AS I KNOW THIS IS THE FIRST TIME. I KNOW SHE IS 30. I DON’T THINK SHE EVER DATED BEFORE. ANYHOW SHE IS DATING A BOY OR SHOULD I SAY MAN THAT SHE USE TO TALK TO ON THE PHONE FOR HOURS SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIM EXCEPT THAT HE IS CHINESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

Maybe I’ll find out more today but I don’t plan to ask any questions. I’m sure she’ll tell me when and if she’s ready. I’m happy for her as its about time.
So I am going to spend the afternoon with her. Tonight we are meeting hubby’s sister for supper and then she wants us to go back to her house for coffee. I don’t know why she can’t arrange something for us to eat at her house. Once we sit at the restaurant and talk I don’t know why she wants us to go back to her house but I’m not arguing.
Tomorrow I’m spending with my sister. Then at night some cousins are getting together to reminisce – just the women. It was interesting the last time we were together. Three of us were first cousins. Our mothers were sisters. We talked about our mothers, where they were brought up etc. It was strange that our stories were all different. I’m anxious for my daughter to be with us! I’m still not sure if any of my nieces are coming. I told my sister to call them.
Anyhow so that’s the latest. More later maybe.
