MY POOR DAUGHTER

As I have written before, my daughter is moving from Florida to Toronto as I type this entry. We talked months ago about her hiring a mover. She didn’t want to spend the money!!!!!!!!!!! All of a sudden she was being thrifty with OUR money. She had many ideas but in the end decided to sell most of her furniture and bring the rest in her car. So my son flew down on Saturday. He arrived in the early evening. They spent the whole NIGHT moving stuff from her condo to ours. I can’t imagine what my condo looks like now. The worst thing is they had no cart etc. to help move the stuff at my end. I think our cart is in the storage room which is locked. When Hubby talked to her yesterday she sounded totally exhausted. Poor thing!!!!!! We told her to hire a mover. Anyhow I am not sure what they did. They had to unpack the trunk and then repack it and leave. We didn’t get in touch with them again yesterday so not sure if they left or not. I guess we’ll hear from them today. My poor children must be exhausted. My daughter will need a vacation when she gets to Toronto. It will be good that we will be there to help them unpack the car. I am not sure how my son will get home from Toronto. I told him I would drive his car to Toronto so he could drive it back but he said he would take a plane. Now my daughter said he didn’t make a reservation and could I drive his car. Well I don’t have his keys and he said he would take a plane. Why didn’t he make reservations????????
Anyhow we are planning to leave here on Tuesday morning. I’m not sure how long we’ll stay in Toronto. Our friends are leaving the same morning so we will probably meet up for lunch or coffee on the way. Then we have to see our siblings while there. Of course we will spend most of the time getting my daughter settled. We have a TV and microwave for her. Not sure what else she’ll need. My niece is giving her some furniture which will get moved on Wednesday morning. Hopefully they’ll be there by then. I just hope they didn’t start driving Sunday when exhausted.
It will be great to see them safe and sound in Toronto.

They’re young; they can handle it! But yea….sometimes young people forget important things like making reservations…. ;o) !! It’s so sweet of you to worry about them though. It’s a mom-thing, isn’t it? I’m glad you will be seeing them soon, safe and sound. hugs, Nicky
