MY FIRST SALE!!!!!!!! OK – edited

I sold two paintings tonight. My first sale ever. It was to a young woman – friend of my daughter’s friend. She liked others but couldn’t afford them right now. I will keep them for her. I wonder if she’ll bring me more business. I could always use some extra money. What will I do with it????????
I had a quiet day. I went on the treadmill for forty four minutes. I did my back exercises and I did some food shopping. I wanted to go to the Dollar Store but it was closed due to fire. I was going to look for things that I could use for stands for my eggs.
It was a sunny day. Maybe summer is finally here.
My daughter’s friend is pregnant so will start making her a baby quilt. I need a new sewing project. A friend is coming over Thursday to help me with the bindings on my two other quilts I made for my grandchildren.
Time for supper. More later.
I am having trouble sleeping. Last night I was up most of the night and tonight looks like it will be no better!!!!!!

That’s great about the sales. I understand your feelings–like when I made my first sale of one of my turned pens. It was like—“I may really be able to make a go of this thing.” Congratulations.

That’s great!! Have been reading your diary probably for five years or so, and wondered when you would be brave enough to sell, lol. CONGRATS!!!!

RYN: A turned pen is a pen made of wood, turned from wood on a lathe, finished, then assembled with a pre-packaged set of fittings. I make and sell them–lots of them are special order for wedding gifts, etc. It’s just part of what I do.
