LAST NIGHT

 We had a very pleasant evening last night. We had supper at my friends. We were just three couples. After supper we played SEQUENCE and then Dominoes. Simple games but we made it fun. Men against the women. Of course the women won!!!!! About ten to 12 we put the games away. We watched the ball drop in New York. We wished each other a Happy New Year and that was it. We talked a bit longer and then we were off for bed. I guess that’s what happens when you get older.
This morning I am doing three loads of washing.  Not sure what we’ll do today. Probably just go to the pool after lunch.
I have been scared! Scared that something will happen to me or my hubby in the New Year!!!!!!! I remember how wonderful I felt last year and then I had the seizure. I know I better put it out of my mind but it’s not easy!
Tonight I invited two couples for supper. I told the to come at five for drinks and then a simple supper. I bought some pizzas. I’ll go out and buy some bread. I’ll make a salad and serve lox. That’s it. Someone else is bringing dessert.
I am not sure why I am doing it. They are friends from the campground. I rarely see them here. They don’t call etc. I know my hubby usually enjoys having a drink with the men. So it will probably be a boring evening. Oh well.
This afternoon I am sure I’ll go sit at the pool. This morning I just might go have a nap.
My friend last night was complaining again how no one ever calls her. I tried to tell her that someone has to take the initiative. To call! To plan an evening etc. No one ever does. I think everyone is just "tired." It’s the same in the country.
Anyhow I think I’ll go change the washing and then have breakfast. Have a great day. Peace to all!
