JUST TODAY

We didn’t do much today. We went to Walgreen. I filled my prescription. While there I bought some cookies and chocolates for the nurses. Then we went to pick up my medical records and xrays from the hospital. I want them for when I go back home. We stopped for lunch at SUBWAY. I ate at Dunkin. Then we came home and walked over to the pool. Everyone was happy to see me. It was a warm welcome. Everyone offered me lifts.
Then we came home. I did two loads of washing and napped in between. I made some phone calls to friends who had called concerned about what had happened.
I don’t know about my hubby but I am a little nervous about having another seizure. I doubt it will happen as I am on anti seizure medication but one never knows.
Hubby called the insurance. So far they didn’t say anything about going home. I hope we can stay a few more weeks. We have to meet the kids at the beginning of March and then our cruise.
I guess it will take awhile for us to relax and not worry about me having another seizure.
Our wonderful family doctor from home called this morning to see what was happening. She will make me an appointment with a neurologist.
I always say that life can turn upside down in a minute and this episode proved it. One never knows. It’s so scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I guess I’ll read some more diaries and then head back to bed.

Wow, I am SO glad you’re okay!! And that everyone has offered lifts too! Very nice of them! Dont push yourself too hard, okay?

Well you get some rest… Even though you are on medicine, you could still have another seizure, especailly if the dose they have you doesn’t work. Alot of times the doctors have to play around with the meds until they get the right dose, so be careful, okay?

I imagine it’s very sacry but at the same time you will will probably be less nervous as time goes by. Hoping you can stay longer and get that cruise in!

Hugs! Hope you get to stay

It didn’t occur to me until now but you were fortunate that your husband was awake and right there so he saw that you were having a seizure. Otherwise you wouldn’t be getting the medication now. How nice that your friends are all offering you lifts. I know you like to go places.

Yes, it is very scary. I can’t imagine what went wrong… Hope you never have another!!!!

My daughter started having seizures at 16 and has been on Dilantin and other anti-seizure medication for the past twenty years. I still hope yours was something strange going on in your brain that will never happen again and that you’ll go back to living a seizure-free life. That is not uncommon.
