JUST ANOTHER DAY

IT’S ALWAYS AMAZING
FOR ME TO SEE
SENIORS AS ACTIVE
AS THEY CAN BE!
THESE SENIORS ARE
SEVENTY, EIGHTY
AND MORE.

THEY DON’T SIT AROUND
OR STAY IN BED.
BY EIGHT A.M. THEY’RE
WAITING AT THE CLUBHOUSE DOOR
READY TO RUN, JUMP AND MORE.

IN THE AFTERNOON
IT’S TIME FOR GOLF
IT IT RAINS IT’S
TIME FOR BRIDGE.
ACTIVE AND ALERT
THEY STAY VERY YOUNG.
IT’S ALL JUST
PART OF THEIR BUSY DAY.

NIGHT TIME COMES
YOU WOULD THINK
IT WAS ENOUGH
BUT NO!!!!!!
THEY ARE OFF AND RUNNING
TO A RESTAURANT OR SHOW.
THERE’S NO SHORTAGE OF FRIENDS
HERE IN LALA LAND
EVERYONE’S HERE
TO HAVE LOTS OF FUN
SO HATS OFF
TO THE SENIORS WHO KNOW
HOW TO LIVE
TILL SEVENTY, EIGHTY
AND EVEN MORE.

It is because they are so active that they live as long as they do I think.

My great-grandmother is a very active woman; she’s almost 102. She moved from CO to PA when she was just shy of 100 because her daughter in law didn’t want her to have a dog. She moved from PA to FL just this past fall. She just goes and goes. She didn’t stop driving until she was approaching 100.

Nifty! Did you write it? I think it’s perfect 🙂

I know, some of the people I dance with are in their 80’s and 90’s and I am just amazed!

February 11, 2012

Use it or lose it, that’s my motto! I plan to keep dancing until I drop dead!

Being active means happy lives. Happy people live longer and better lives. Best, A

bravo! well said. Several of my local friends are in their nineties and beyond ( one is 102) and I love them dearly….most of them go out regularly and we meet for coffee etc…..they even go off to the city on the ferry to visit other elderly friends there. remarkable. Some peopl truly inspire, don’t they? have a good day Ginger, and thanks for your sweet notes. hugs p
