IT’S OVER-ok

So our two Hanukah parties are over and they were both a huge success. I have just about cleaned up BUT we have so many many leftovers. Maybe we will package some up for hubby’s relatives. Aside from the soup I surely don’t want to eat them. Well maybe I’ll eat some cold chicken for lunch………..but the delly? NO!

Last night we had hubby’s cousins from both sides. Everyone was happy to see each other and stayed till 11. The men probably would have stayed longer but the women got tired.

I already have washing in. The other machine was busy so I’ll have to wait to put in the second load.

My daughter was a super help. She made the loot bags. Usually these are given out at birthday parties. They can be filled with candy etc. She also made the dessert in the shot glasses. She slept over. Maybe when she gets up we’ll go to the quilting store.

Otherwise I am going to slowly clean up and relax.

Cleaning up afterwards is the worst part.

desserts in shot glasses? that sounds cool, quick and easy.

I saw a kind of amusing Hanukah procession last week. About thirty mini vans, driven by orthodox Jewish men with the hats and all, with big Menorahs on the roofs, followed by several RV’s painted with religious quotes and blaring Klezmer music. I’ve never seen, or even heard of anything like that before.

I hate the cleaning part! But it all sounds like it was a great success for your family! Happy New Years TOO! SMILE!

Cleaning up after is a pain…that’s why I don’t go out of my way to cook a huge feast anymore. I keep it as simple as a I can.
