I DID IT!!!!!!!-read

This afternoon I opened a savings account. Now to stay FIRM and deposit on a regular basis.
As I promised I will do it. It’s a start! I went to the mall and only stopped at the butcher. I was so tempted to buy some magazines or books but told myself to WALK ON BY. I did good today and I will do good tomorrow too. I am determined.
I will go on the treadmill tomorrow and Sunday. One thing I am not promising is to cut down on my eating.
Hubby and I went to the doctor today. We are both ok. Hubby does have to go to a dermatologist to check something on his nose and my blood sugar level was high after fasting so we will have to look after these two health issues. Hopefully the treadmill will help me.
This morning we went to my grandson’s school. It was a fun experience. The teacher told me how well he was doing. She also said that my son and his ex are doing much better than other divorced parents. I am proud of these two young adults.
My son came by this afternoon. He seems so lonely. Why else would he stop by to see his parents? He was here yesterday too but that was for my grandson’s party. He has just about NO friends although he is playing soft ball a few times a week during the summer. He also has some married friends……….he needs to get a new job.  My hubby’s business that my son worked at for over twenty years has died. He is holding on as it is probably scary to have to look for another job. Meanwhile I think he is dreadfully lonely. I wish I could help him but I think he knows what he has to do. He can meet girls online.
He is probably too set in his ways even though he is only 37. WOW!! It’s hard to believe.
I feel so old today. I worry about the future. I think about being dead forever.
I better move on and think about TODAY!

Hey good for you! I recently opened one too and I am really trying to cut back on the spending. Keep up the good work!

Try cinnamon for the blood sugar… it’s supposed to work just a well as prescription meds. Exercise will definitely help as well. Good for you for resisting the temptation to spend the money! 🙂

YAY for resisting temptation!

It is nice that your son wants to see you. Maybe you make him happy. When he wants to meet someone he will – it may take a long time. Our son has been divorced for 7 years — he just concentrates on his daughters and his work–that’s all he has time for.

Well done! But you may find that to go ‘cold turkey’ on spending will lead to a short term committment. Maybe decide on a few treats you will allow yourself occassionally…perhaps one magazine or book a week or something. Just a thought. Hugs P

Good for you! Sometimes taking the first step is the hardest thing, but now you’ve done that part! :o) !! It’s wonderful, what the teacher said about your grandson and how his parents are doing. It was good to hear you say you’re proud of both of them! hugs, Weesprite
