I AM DIFFERENT
I often feel that I am very different from everyone around me. I feel that no one understands me. I feel that everyone has different ideas from mine. I feel that what is important to most people is not at all important to me. Maybe it should be but it isn’t.
I DO NOT CARE ABOUT MY WEIGHT. I DO NOT EAT AND GROAN ABOUT HOW MUCH WEIGHT I WILL GAIN.
I DO NOT OBSESS ABOUT HAVING A HOUSE WHICH CAN BE IN HOMES AND GARDEN. MY HOME IS TO LIVE IN.
I do not hate people because of their age, colour, creed etc.
I think that parents should be home raising their children and not working all day to pay for an empty house.
I think the US should stop interfering in other country’s politics. Too many of our young people have died.
I think we give away too much money to other countries. We need it at home for the sick, elderly, homeless and victims of natural disasters.
I think alot of women waste endless amount of time on themselves when that time could be spent taking care of their families.
Anyhow I just know that often how I think, what I want to do, where I want to go is completely different from everyone else. Do I care? Yes at times because often people look at me like I’m crazy – even my husband. I often feel all alone on a ship going nowhere.
I find a lot of people feel that – different from others, and that no one understands them. For what it’s worth, the views you’ve expressed don’t seem particularly unusual to me – I know plenty of people who have the same views.

I don’t find your views crazy, for sure. My brother was making the same argument today, about spending money at home, not overseas (and that was referring to Canada, which spends less overseas anyway). I don’t agree with all your views.. but I, too, know lots of people who share many of your views.
Warning Comment
I agree – your opinions on the above aren’t that unusual. It’s your own mix of them that makes you unique. (For example, I agree with you on most. Maybe it’s the people around you – your friends – maybe they are quite different? Maybe that’s why you feel you frustrated with them? How can you find some friends whose beliefs are more aligned with yours?
Warning Comment
I agree with lots of what you’ve said but I am sure we could find things we differ on as well. I don’t think you’re all that different.
Warning Comment
really we are not alot different in those beliefs and values that you listed…. hugs p

Maya Angelou said it best: “We are more alike than we are unalike.” I think you’d be surprised to find a lot of people share your views.
Warning Comment
People are people, no two are alike. I find that a lot of people just agree with the crowd like sheep just not to rock the boat but inide they are seething. I say what I think. A lot of people do not like me for it but I don’t care. I don’t have a lot of friends but that’s OK too. I prefer being alone anyway.

You are different indeed. So am I. I think, if you have the patience you would like the book I am writing. Five chapters are already posted. Later in the book their are 9 principal characters and they are all very “different.” I try to show how each one thinks and how they react to each other. Trumpet blast!!!

My views are a lot like yours! I get so tired of hearing my co-worker talk about her diet and how many carbs everything has. I can’t imagine spending as much time cleaning things as she does. Even my daughter talks more about her job than she talks about her kids! And all so many people care about is making money! It’s a crazy world. hugs, Nicky

I totally agree with most of your views! It’s a good thing every one is different though – it would sure be a boring world if we were all just alike!
Warning Comment
There is nothing wrong with being different so long as you allow other people to be different too.. We are all different from each other is various ways yet we are also very similar in lots of ways… The trick is not to take other peoples opinions personally..

Is is not wonderful at times to be different? Being or thinking different, or believing different than those around us is a good thing at times too. Not always if you’re not able to hear different views or opinions is it wonderful but you find that over time there will be more than you think may believe a lot like you do. When there is a difference then that shouldn’t be a bad thing it should be an opportunity to dig deeper into why and research additional facts and information. Take care and being different is a good thing in the world we live in today.

I’m different than people my age. My house is not spotless, I was raised by a clean freak too. I talk about my crafts and my child. I’m a stay at home mom, my job is him. I can work outside the home once he’s at school and be off when he gets home. I believe we need to focus on our people first. I’m different and happy.

Oh the weight thing. Well I don’t care what I eat but I have started exercising for my mental and physical health. Some days I wish we could go back when times we’re simpler.

You are not the only one. I see people my age get caught up in keeping up with the joneses and I am happy to live my simple life is a home that is too small for our family, but filled with love, we make sacrifices in our wants so I can raise my son myself… I am often told I have views that are from “another time” when the people I grew up with all want the nicest cars, biggest homes, and

nannies for their kids. It doesn’t bother me though, because I am a firm believer in to each his own. I am proud of the fact that I have my beliefs, and they match the moral and ethic code of what I believe is right! And uniqueness is what makes each person an individual. It would be too boring if everyone thought the same thing, and felt the same!
Warning Comment
You are not so different. I agree with alot of these. But I think it’s good to have your own thoughts and ideas. We dont need to always go with the “norm”
Warning Comment
I don’t see a thing wrong with your thinking.

Wow! I’m guessing that you feel a little less alone now. As a working mom I don’t mind saying that I agree with you on mom’s should be at home one. I can do you one better. I wish I were at home homeschooling The Babe like I did my two grown girls. Sometimes life just doesn’t let us do what we’d rather.

Join the club there are thousands feeling the same way, perhaps not in your immediate circle, but you are not definitely not alone!
