HOW’S IT DONE??????

Again I have a question. Today I started to think about my daughter’s graduation. She will be getting her PHD. I don’t think any of us are going to her graduation. When I bring it up to hubby he says NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! When I brought it up to my day daughter she also said nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So that means we aren’t going on June 12. So now do we give her a present on the 12th or do we wait until she gets her PHD certificate etc?  when she finished writing her thesis? It’s a terrible time to make a party etc. because we will probably move about the 15th. So I’m waiting to read your suggestions. I’m thinking I should be in Toronto with her in the 12th. On the other hand she’s not getting her "real" PHD then. Should I just wait till she gets it? Should I send her a card anyways.
Thank you in advance for always being there. I am so happy I have all of you in my life.

I would send her a card and a gift for her actual graduation day, getting the certifcate later is a lot of hoopla over nothing kind of anticlimatic

I think in these circumstances any time is a good time. Any acknowledgement of her achievement is wonderful. Dont worry too much about not getting to attend the ceremony sometimes guest invitations are very limited.

Send her ‘n nice letter mother-to-daughter with a thoughtful gift expressing your pride and joy in her. And congratulations on her achievement, mom! You can be so very proud!
