HOME SWEET HOME – ok

So I arrived right on schedule. 6:00 P.M. Once I was on my way on Monday everything went fine. I will probably do it again. I listened to Loretta Laroche. Have you gone to her web site???
I arrived home and checked this house out. There is so much junk all over. Most of the rooms need to be overhauled. This house needs to be painted!!! Slowly I will get started. My plants don’t look healthy so I will throw them out and one day buy fake ones which won’t need any care.
I missed two doctor appointments so will have to reschedule those. I don’t think I will truly relax till I get a clean bill of health although I do feel ok.
I need to unpack. I will start tomorrow. Then I have to make a food order. My cleaning lady was here yesterday so until I unpacked my car everything looked great.
My grandson’s birthday is Friday. I don’t know what I’ll buy him.  I was so disappointed and confused when my son said he and his ex are going to do something together on Friday night for his birthday. What about us??? I’m glad they are getting along so well but they are making a party for his friends which we aren’t going to. I’m glad about that. But I would think my son would plan soemthing with us.
I guess next Thursday I’ll just take him to TOYS R US and let him pick out his birthday present. Maybe I’ll try to think up a tradition I can start for his birthday. Any ideas?
Soon after I arrived home we went out for supper with our friends. Then it  was home to bed. Tomorrow I have washing, calls to make and unpacking.
There’s no rush though. Time to crawl back into bed.

I prefer fake plants. I know they dno’t look as good but you can’t kill em. LOL I used to let my kids pick out their birthday present when they were younger. It could be a good and bad thing… sometimes they don’t know what they want either!!

Glad you are home safely and did not run into any problems on the road that you couldn’t handle…birthdays are difficult to decide what to do when your not invited to share in them….I think he might enjoy going with you to pick out his own present and maybe a personal lunch between the two of you at one of his favorite places would be nice…..I know what you mean about fake plants..huggs

I’m glad you made it back safely.

It is hard to think of a birthday tradition when parents do so much for their kids these days. Taking him to Toys R Us sounds very fun for him, though.

Glad you are home safe! How about a birthday lunch and a trip to Borders or Barnes&Noble (I’m betting he gets TONS of toys)

I think it’s appropriate for kids your grandson’s age to have a birthday party and be able to have friends their own age. And then maybe another one, with grandparents and other family members. We used to let the kids choose an outing they wanted to go on for their birthday, and allow them to take one friend along. Maybe you could give your grandson some choices of “where would you like grandma and grandpa to take you?” and he could pick! hugs, Weesprite

Welcome home 🙂 I like the idea of a Barnes and Noble trip. Letting him pick out a book or CD would be very cool..

YAY, you made it home!

Glad you made it back safe and sound. Maybe you can let your grandson pick the place he wants to go for his birthday rather than Toys R Us. He may surprise you and pick something good!

Lunch with you and a trip to the toystore? THAT is an awesome tradition. Take him to the Lego aisle, my boys drool there.

Maybe your son is leaving it till later before he asks you to go along or this birthday he wants him for himself lol. Take care and just buy him what you think he will like. Good to hear from you again. HUGS and HUGSxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
