HOME SWEET HOME
I ARRIVED HOME WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. The plane ride was easy and fast! The plane was just about empty so everyone could stretch out. The plane left early and arrived early. My son, my wonderful, caring eldest son picked me up. I told him what I wanted to do. He had a plan of his own. He told me I could use his car so he drove himself home and I was off. I started by going to the bank. Then I went to Pizza Hut and finally I went to visit my friend at the hospital. What a change!!!!!!! They were surprised but happy to see me. I stayed until late. Her hubby and I went out for supper. She insisted!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I went grocery food shopping and came home very tired. Everything was ok at home. I unpacked everything and then fell asleep. I think it was about one so it was a very long and emotional day.
Thursday I woke up and got ready. I took a wonderful bath. I went to visit my friend at the hospital. Her hubby went to the gym to workout. My friend is just about deaf so we are all frustrated and of course her more than us because communication is difficult. We write on a clipboard which works well. Throughout the day she had a lot of visitors. My friend worked at the hospital in cardiology doing research. She is highly respected and therefore getting major care. She’s very lucky!
After I left the hospital at four I went to pick up my son and we went to visit my grandchildren. My grandsons were beside themselves with happiness to see me. They thought I was home for good and were visibly upset that I was going back soon. My granddaughter doesn’t seem to get anything. I wonder if there is anything "wrong" with her. She is just NOT connected. She doesn’t come over to hug hello whereas the boys don’t want to let go. Anyhow we had supper and I had time to talk to my DIL because my son(not the Dad) was playing with my grandchildren. My other son seems to be in another world. I don’t know if he is stressed out from work or what. I worry about him. He hardly talks and couldn’t sit still! He was standing the whole time I was there. Personally I think his wife stresses him out in a major way!!!!!!! Anyhow Sunday I am going out for lunch with my DIL and then for supper with my son. I hope he’ll talk so I can find out if anything is wrong.
I am not sure what I am going to do today because I don’t have the car. I might go to the mall to see if I can get my hair cut etc. Then I might go to the hospital. I don’t have a car because my son gave his car in for a check up and to get his winter tires put on. For supper I am going to my friend who just lost her husband.
Saturday I am planning to drive to Ottawa to visit my friend who had his leg amputated. I thought I would sleep over but I won’t.
I have no definite plans for the rest of the week but I want to see my grandsons again and of course go to the hospital a few more times.
My son and I were talking about going to Toronto for a day or two but I finally realized it would be too hard. Now I have to let my daughter know. I am seeing her next weekend so I don’t think an extra visit is necessary.
So off I go to have breakfast and then another bath. Have a great day.
If you are looking for a "fun" book to read try CHRISTMAS WEDDING by James Patterson.
Sounds like you made a good decision. Glad you got home all right. Too bad about the messy weather today, but it’s not too bad. (I assume you’re getting what we’re getting here in Cornwall.)
