HOME SWEET HOME

I’m home after spending the past few days in the hospital!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to a doctor here and he sent me right to the hospital. He is a fantastic doctor and everybody here from Montreal uses him. He has a great sense of humour. He knows about the Canadian insurance etc.
So I went into the hospital on Tuesday afternoon and got out late last night! I had all sorts of tests like EEG and MRI. All came back fine. Thank goodness. The staff was excellent. I am now on Dilantin. I am not allowed to drive for six months according to the rules here. I am not sure what the rules are at home. It is going to be very difficult but hubby and I will manage!!!!!! Hubby will call the insurance tomorrow and hopefully we don’t have to leave here right away. We have so many plans.
I surprised myself because like hubby said I was a great patient. Of course I wasn’t in any pain and that makes a big difference. I had a fun roommate. The nurses were caring and warm.
So we’ll have to take one ay at a time. It will be a challenge for me NOT to drive but I guess I’ll have to NOT do it.
The doctor suggested I walk thirty minutes a day. I think I’ll try it and drag hubby along. Thirty minutes should be easy.
So that’s the latest from Ginger. Going back to sleep.

Welcome back! If the tests were negative then everything is a precaution which is wise. I know you’ll handle everything with your typical spunk!

If everything is fine what is Dilantin for? What kind of pill is that? Hope you are fabulous!

I’m sure you’ll do fine without driving for awhile. Sounds like they know what they are doing so you need to do what they said. Glad your stay was enjoyable. Even gladder you’re back home now:)

I’m glad you are okay! It would be hard not to drive.

Glad you are ok and home. The not driving bites, but it’s a precaution.

I wondered where you were but glad to hear you are ok. I’m sure it will be hard to drive but you need to take care of yourself.

Hey .. you’re not supposed to have THAT much fun in hospital! I am glad you are in good spirits and the tests were all good.. 🙂

I was worried about you since you didn’t do an entry for a few days, not like you at all! Not being able to drive is a pain but yes you will manage somehow!

I had mis-read your last entry and thought it was your husband who had had the seizure. I am so glad you are ok and given a clean bill of health. Rest and take care…..driving isn’t such a big deal when you have someone who can drive you places. hugs P

I’m so glad you are back. Take care of yourself. You seem to be adjusting to the changes. I’ve missed you.

I hope you don’t have to take Dilantin for long and will be back to driving soon.

WOW! Glad you are okay. Seizures, thankfully, are not uncommon and many people live full lives with regular seizures. Great that the tests came back negative. They don’t know what triggered it? Stay well!
