HANUKAH IS OVER – OK

Tonight Hanukah is over!! I refuse to take down the decorations especially my Hanukah Bush for awhile. I love the tree so much. I want a chance to enjoy it a little longer.
Our Hanukah party tonight was a success as usual. I had everything well prepared and organized so it went off without a hitch. My hubby sat in the back with the rest of the men. I sat with the women in the dining room. My daughter brought the men their food so it went very smoothly. Everyone enjoyed the traditional Friday night supper. It brought back many memories for them as noone cooks like that anymore. Most people eat out, open a can or order in.
So now I have finished entertaining. Of course I may have one or two couples over for a meal but nothing big or a lot of work. I did it. I’m happy I did but I am happy it’s over for another year.
Tomorrow I plan to do some shopping. First I want to mail stuff to my grandchildren. I would like to go to Home Depot to see if I can buy a ready made counter with shelves and drawers for the kitchen. My friend has one and it seems to be very handy. This is a small kitchen and when I make a meal for a big crowd I have no room to move. Of course I am not planning any big event but I could use more room for cutlery etc.
I also need some food. I used up all my oil, bread crumbs and eggs.
I also need to go to Michaels to buy a magnifier as I am having trouble seeing my needlepoint. I may go to the store with my cousin tomorrow.
So a busy day ahead but nothing written in stone so I will do whatever I want. Sunday is also a free day. Monday we were suppose to play MAH JONGG but we aren’t so I will have that day free too. It’s ok with me.
We had a lot of rain and there was a lot of flooding and streets closed. Luckily we didn’t have to go out the past few days.
Time for bed. WOW! It’s twenty to one!
