GRANDCHILDREN ARE THE BEST – OK
Yesterday I spent the day with my granddaughter. She is adorable. She is so independent. I picked her up from daycare about 10:30. Then we went downtown to the Jazz Festival. It took awhile to find a parking place but I did. I had to pay the stupid parking meter which I wouldn’t mind if I could pay for more than two hours. We went to see the free show. I am not sure if she understood or enjoyed it. Then we went for lunch. I had to keep my eye on her as she wanders!!!!!!! She is so cute that I was worried someone might take her. I ended up going into a sitdown restaurant because I was afraid that while I ordered at a fast food place I would lose her. She loves pasta so that’s what she ate. I had a small pepperoni pizza. We listebned to one of the free band shows for awhile but the loud noises scared her. Then we went to the playground but it was raining so everything was closed. She could have had her face painted but by this time I had to put more money in the meter so we just left. We went swimming. She swims like a fish. She loves the water. She loves swimming underwater. She loves jumping in. At the end though her eyes were burning. I think I will have to buy goggles for next time.
I took her home about five o’clock.
At night I had bridge. I was dead tired!! Luckily I got lousy hands so didn’t have to think too much.
I am up early as I am working on a scrapbook for my SIL and BIL for their 60th wedding anniversary. I need it finished by tomorrow night. I am not sure if I can get it done by then. I have some time today and tonight. Tomorrow hubby and I are taking our three children to Parc Safari so will be busy most of the day!!!!! Maybe I’ll have time at night!
I made an egg for them so I will give them that for sure.
This afternoon I am picking up my grandson after camp. I think I will take him for a donut and then the toy store and book store. We haven’t done that for awhile.
So I better have breakfast and get started.
Dear heart, I’m still waiting for pictures of the eggs you make. Congrats to your SIL and BIL on their 60th!! I gave my parents a surprise party on their 60th–if my dad had lived (he died a month ago), they would have celebrated 65 years this August. That’s a lifetime for lots of people. I’m lucky I’ve made it to 26 this time around!!!

The one REALLY good thing about having five daughters is the knowledge that one day, one or more of them will have children, and I’ll have grandkids. I love that thought. Of course, I love having them as children now (maybe not the teenager… but she’ll outgrow it, eventually! LOL) I just look at my blue eyed 13 month old, and how she’s always grinning, and she melts my heart! She makes my day every single day with her grin and her zest for nursing, and her sunny attitude. You know lately, I just DO NOT feel like scrapbooking. I’ve GOT to find the love again. It’s like my outlet is just gone. I miss it, but I’m so BORED with it. And I’m just plain BUSY.
