GET OVER IT

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE; THE COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

I am not over it yet but I guess I will soon have to be. I will have to accept the fact that I probably won’t be able to drive for the next six months. On Monday I will do my best to get an appointment with my doctor on Tuesday. I am anxious to hear what he has to say about my condition. 

Meanwhile my daughter drove back to Toronto last night with my son. My other son is taking a plane to Toronto in the morning. They will all be at my BIL’s 80th birthday party. I am so proud of them. We were suppose to be there too but since I haven’t been well we aren’t going.

I had a lot of calls and emails about my "sickness." I am just not in the mood to talk so my hubby has been answering the phone. I have to admit he is a wonderful, caring man. He hasn’t batted an eyelash since I got sick and there is the possibility that I won’t be able to get insurance to go to Florida. I will do my best to persuade him to go without me  for at least part of the winter. I know how much he will hate to stay here and not be able to play golf. I don’t know what he will do. An indoor golf course please?????? I have many indoor hobbies so I’ll manage but he will be miserable. Also most of our friends go away so it won’t be pretty.

Anyhow no use "jumping the gun." I will have to wait to see the doctor. Maybe he’ll do a new set of tests and X-rays.

Time to jump back into bed.
