GAY THOUGHTS

1  out of every 10 people born is gay. That means 1 of every 10 people is instantly put down, given bad labels, left alone, put in a minority, and so much else… all for something they didn’t ask for. Many gay teens are going to commit suicide as a way of escaping. If you want to tell them life
will get better, and you respect them, for who they are, copy and paste this. Most of you won’t…but let’s see who will?

I have it on my Facebook page already. :o) !! It is a very worthwhile message to pass along. hugs, Nicky

I agree that they should be accepted, but I don’t see any need to post this on my OD or Facebook since there are no gay teens reading those.

Great entry. Love,

That entry would be a regular entry if it didn’t have the insinuations in the end of it or the subliminal ‘order’ to pass the message. Lots of people who might agree with this entry will not pass the entry on. Some might but lots will not. It doesn’t matter the content of a chain letter or chain entry, it’s the challenge or the order or the insinuations that givepeople the reaction to hmm…naww , not passing this on. And it doesn’t matter if a person passes the message or not. Just like gays are being ‘judged’, seems like in this entry the ‘reader’ is being judged by what they choose to do or choose not to do. Sorry, that was just our thought when we read the last line or two. [yesitiswell]

I don’t copy & paste, but the recent suicide led to a lively discussion in our Life Group this year. I was very pleased with the group’s attitude: if homosexuality is a sin (the group was somewhat divided on that), it is not for us to condemn because our own sins are no better or worse than anybody else’s. No matter whether each individual felt it was choice, biological, sin or not sin, to a person, each felt the video voyeurs had killed that young man as surely as if they’d shot him. I am FAR more troubled by people who can violate another’s privacy in such an all-encompassing way than I am about a person’s sexual preference.

Yes. I agree with this. Always have.

Caring thoughts in this entry.

I’ve dealt with various gay teens as a teacher. One had been teased, but in confronting one of the teasers, it was only because the gay kid was so odd in other ways, teasing him for being gay had been the only hook they could find. Another kid had been obviously gay even at 8 years of age.I am still in touch with him. When he finally acknowledged being gay, everyone around him was already aware.
