FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED
I picked up my grandson today and he wasn’t in a good mood. We went to Dairy Queen and then to the store to buy Wacky Pack cards. Then he didn’t want to do anything. I drove around awhile and then just took him home. I stayed until his mother came and then came home to make supper. I wonder if it’s time to stop taking him. There is not much I can do with them after school.
I suggested swimming, bowling, the arcade and movie. He didn’t want to do anything. I guess he was hot and tired from school. Once we were in his house he played with his sister making a fort. I hope the same thing doesn’t happen with my other grandson tomorrow. If so I will just stop taking them. I guess I am also finding it harder to amuse them as they are older. It was much easier before this.
So now I’m making supper – fish and fries. Yummy! More later.
Don’t get discouraged from just one visit. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

Ryn: Thats how I feel now… I mean I felt that way in H.S. too but I always followed the norm and developed “best friend” relationships but I don’t really think they would still fall under that category.

Kids are so hard to amuse these days.

Getting back in the routine of school can be kinda hard. Don’t give up so quickly. Also, maybe he does just want some down time here and there. If he wasn’t in a good mood to begin with, he’s just having an off day.

when did they return to school? Was today’s moodiness just a reaction to all the change?

School is tiring when it’s hot. I think they are right. Once he gets into the swing of things he’ll probably want to do more. 😀 RYN: Breastfeeding is actually getting better day by day. I’m happy things are working out, I really want to continue with it for at least a year. I’ll be so happy when I accomplish that. 😀
