FEELING SAD

I really have nothing to be sad about. I shouldn’t and don’t need to complain. What got me down this morning was reading the newspaper. A couple killed themselves and their children because of unemployment etc. It made me so sad and angry!!!!! Two sets of twins and another child murdered. The father didn’t want to leave their children to strangers. The world is such a sad place. How did our ancestors survive their depression years ago?

I have nothing special to do today. I do want to go swimming soon and then do some messages. My hubby went to the hospital and hopefully he will be bringing his brother home.

I want to go to the Dollar store and maybe Walgreens to buy stuff to send my grandchildren. I haven’t mailed stuff for a few days. Usually I have toys in stock but have nothing now.

My ex DIL wrote that my grandson wants some chicken soup so I will go to the Kosher Marketplace and buy stuff to make a soup. Maybe just maybe I’ll go there first so it can cook this afternoon and hubby and I can have it for supper. I also want to go to the Party Store where there are PINATAS for sale. Other stops I have to make are PUBLIX bank, and the post office.

I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT HUBBY AND I ARE WELL.

I AM SO EXCITED THAT MY GRANDSON IS COMING ON SATURDAY FOR THE WEEK.

I AM JUST SO HAPPY THAT THINGS ARE GOING WELL IN MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD EVEN THOUGH THE REST OF THE WORLD SEEMS TO BE A MESS.

GUESS I’M GOING TO THE STORES AND THEN WILL COME HOME TO COOK AND MAYBE SWIM.

Gratitude is a good thing.

I saw that too. Some people in the depression killed themselves and their families too. They must have felt so backed into a corner. I can’t even imagine how horrible it was. These kinds of things shouldn’t happen in a country where some people are making BILLIONS

From what Granny would tell me about the Depression they had the same sort of things happen. Granny was one though to survive no matter what. She sewed and made clothes herself, also took old socks with holes and made tubes with filling to place around doors and window sills to keep warmth in. I read about that family yesterday, so sad. Chicken soup is sooooo much better when it’s homemade. Have a great day!

There are two types of people in this world, those who give up and those who are resilient. Many people killed themselves during the Great Depression too, men jumped out of building windows that day. Others fought to survive any way they could. That’s what made the difference. From what I read he wasn’t even in that much debt, I have 10 times more debt than he had and I am still here. I will finda way to get out of it. He probably saw no way out. Very sad. Enjoy your grandson!

Wasn’t that terrible about that family? Must have seemed hopeless to them. Have a great time with your grandson:)

I just read about that couple in another diary. Seems far too many people are dying unnecessarily in USA ….there is quite simply too much inequality of wealth and too little caring. hugs P
