DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? – ok

I think it is important to speak as many languages as possible. I think it’s ridiculous and sad when people decide they will only speak "their" language.
For example, in case you didn’t know before I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Anyhow here they only want to speak FRENCH!!!! How stupid! The funny part is that they are at a super disadvantage when they travel outside Quebec. I watch and laugh. Good for them! They deserve what they get.
For example an elderly couple retired. They bought a wonderful motor home and were going to travel throughout the USA. Guess what???? After four days they returned home with their tales between their legs. GOOD! I hope they learned a lesson. They couldn’t communicate so came home. They are now sitting at home. I guess they could travel in Canada.
On the way home I met another couple who were also French. They stopped at a service area but couldn’t speak French. I would have helped but I couldn’t answer their question. I don’t know what they ended up doing but of course they couldn’t ask anyone at the service area. Good for them. Wake up people. Speaking other languages is a good idea. It will not diminish your culture.
Often in Plattsburgh, New York and in Florida they have trouble communicating. JUST LEARN ENGLISH. YOU WILL STILL BE FRENCH. NO ONE WILL TAKE YOUR COUNTRY!
