DISAPPOINTING NEWS

I spoke to my son tonight and he told me that things are not going well at his job. He just started in October. He is working for our friend’s son. Apparently he has made some mistakes. He tried to cover up some of them and I guess it didn’t work. He is not happy at work. I think he didn’t get proper training. I think he tried to do too much too soon. I think he took on too much responsibility. I hope he doesn’t get fired as he would be devastated and I don’t know where he would get another job.
Hubby will talk to him tomorrow to see what’s going on. My son worked for his father for many years and when my hubby retired he couldn’t/didn’t want to carry on. He was out of work for at least a year. I think he is usually very confident but this job is totally different from anything he knew. Anyhow I hope things will work out for him.
I stayed home tonight. I was suppose to play bridge but decided not to go play with my cold.
I went to stained glass this morning and things went very well. I finally decided to just do what I think is right and not worry about making mistakes. It is slow going but I get a little further every week. I could go more often and maybe I will if I have some free time.
This afternoon I went food shopping. I went to the butcher and bought a lot of meat. I am making supper next Friday so now should have enough meat for that. I may go back and buy chicken livers as it would make for a very cheap supper for company. I also bought vegies to make a chicken soup tomorrow morning. One of my friends had a hip replacement so will send her some soup probably tomorrow. Not sure what else……….
I am going to get my haircut tomorrow at lunch.
The weather is slowly warming up.
My SIL will be going home early. Before she came to Florida they found that she had a small polyp in her ovary I think. Anyhow it was cancerous and the doctor told her it was slow growing so she decided to come to Florida and get it looked after later on. I guess it’s been bothering her so she and hubby decided to leave early. Middle of February instead of end of March……
Tomorrow night we are playing Canasta here.
No plans for Thursday and the rest of the weekend. Hope I can get rid of my cold.
The exterminator came today and set up traps for the bugs. He said it would probably take a few weeks to get rid of them.
I went to my favourite local Italian restaurant this afternoon. I enjoy their fries and reading my book. Anyhow this is about the third time I ordered a diet Pepsi. It tasted bad. I complained but they did nothing. I brought the bottle home and called PEPSI. The date on the bottle was October!!!!!!!!!!!!! They promised to send me a coupon. The problem is the restaurant. They made me feel stupid. I am not sure if I should go back and talk to them or just not go there again. If they are selling bad Pepsi who knows what else they are doing.
The winter is going quickly…………………..too quickly.
