DAY ONE IN TORONTO – OK

  I had a very busy day on Saturday. I woke up very early and after getting showered and dressed I went to have breakfast in the lobby. I had a leisurely breakfast and read one of the Toronto newspapers. Then I got dressed and left for the Bar Mitzvah. I put the address into the GPS and off I went. The STUPID GPS took me to Eglington East when I had to go west. I don’t know why but it didn’t give me a choice of east or west. Luckily I left early enough so I still got to the synagogue on time. It took me awhile to find a parking place. Finally I just parked and hoped for the best.
My great nephew did well. Imagine singing in front of a room of over a hundred people. He also made an interesting speech.
Then it was off to my nephew’s for lunch. I’m so happy that I decided to come. Next time I will do the same. I will not go along with my hubby but with my gut. I left my nephews about four. I came home and went online. Then about 6:30 I left to go to meet my SIL, her hubby and my other SIL for supper. After I left them I went to two book stores but one was closed and the other closed in about twenty minutes so didn’t buy anything. BUT THEN I DID THE MOST STUPID, CHILDISH AND CRAZY THING. I stopped by a drug store and spent way too much once again. What is wrong with me? Why do I have to spend? I bought everything that didn’t move. I bought hand lotions, lipstick, foundation etc. I finally came home and slept well. I did put my VISA in a small purse so will not take it with me today. It’s the only way NOT to use it.
This morning I am staying at the motel to relax. I may go swimming but it feels cold so not sure. I still have to take a shower and shave my legs and arms. I bought a new shaver last night. Then I might meet one of my SIL’s for lunch. I was invited to meet them for breakfast but I will soon have breakfast so won’t be ready for brunch at 10. I guess I could go just to keep company. However my favourite SIL sent me an email suggesting meeting for lunch so guess I’ll do that instead.
Then at three I have to pick up my daughter at the airport. She will probably stay with me tonight and then tomorrow will go to her cousins. She will be here until Thursday. I sure hope her interview goes well. When I spoke to her yesterday she was at the MALL looking for shoes and a suit for the interview. My hubby asked her to go for supper. She didn’t want to as she had so much to do. I don’t know what she decided. I don’t know why my hubby didn’t go with our friends. Apparently he didn’t like the restaurant they were going to. Very strange to me as he’s usually not like that. He certainly makes a lot more demands on the kids hen I ever do.
Then tonight at six I have the Bar Mitzvah party. I want to prepare a little song but don’t know if I’ll get around to it. I don’t know why I didn’t think about it before I came.
I leave Toronto early tomorrow morning. I still have to figure out my schedule as I have to pick up my SIL and BIL as they are traveling with me. I’m not sure what my daughter will do. She wants to rent a car and guess she has to because she has no other way to get around. I will be relieved when she finally has a place for her internship. She certainly does cost us a lot!
So that’s my day and night till I leave for Florida tomorrow. It will be a relief to get back.
Then  I will be on to planning my Hanukah party for next Saturday.
I am having trouble continuing my training for my online business. I am missing an email. I also don’t have a DVD player here so couldn’t complete the next step. The only one we have in Florida is in our bedroom and don’ know if we can work it as we never use it. If I need one often I may go buy a cheap portable one. I sure hope this business takes off as I could use the money. Will keep you posted.
