DAY ONE

Yesterday I was up about 5:30. I finished last minute packing and left. It was cold in the morning. I thought my air conditioner wasn’t working so I stopped by a Chrysler dealer after I had breakfast at McDonalds. It was fine!  I love their hash browns. Hubby left about an hour after me and is just about an hour ahead of me now.
The drive was easy. I  didn’t stop to shop in Daytona Beach although I had lunch there. I ate at LONGHORNS. I had a delicious steak.
I drove steady with just a few rest stops. Of course I had to stop once for gas. I also had a nap because I was afraid to fall asleep on the road.
I ate the whole way and I’m not kidding. I had sunflower seeds, Baked Lays, Diet coke etc.
I arrived at this motel about 5:30. It was enough driving! I’m staying at a Holiday Inn Express. I usually stay at a Hampton Inn but the one across the street is a converted motel and I never liked it.
So time to shower, get dressed and leave. Another day, another couples of hundred miles. I think it is going to be a warm day so I’m staying in my summer clothes.
Last night I had a long chat with my daughter. She is so
wonderful. She sent me a wonderful, generous present which I put in my savings account. I also put the money that I got back from my ear rings in my savings account. Strange as it is I am not in a shopping mood. I just want to get home!
