DAY FOUR

I am in Santee, South Carolina. When I stopped at the Welcome Center I told the woman I wanted to drive two more hours. I asked her where I would be. She told me if I drove a little less than two hours I would end up at exit 53 and there would be a Microtel. I like those because they are cheap!!! She said I have to take exit 53. For whatever reason I heard Santee so got off at exit 98. No problem as I ended up at  Hampton which I really like.
Well when she told me exit 53 it would have been less than the two hours I wanted to drive. She told me it would be dark if I drove any further. I still insisted that I wanted to drive further. She tried to explain to me that exit 53 was where I should stop. It would be 20 miles less than I wanted to drive. I finally woke up and told her that I was silly and stupid for making a fuss over 20 miles. I think that is a lesson for all of us. Figure out why you are arguing…..what you arguing about and is it worth it. I learned a valuable lesson. Choose your battles! Think whether or not your argument is worth it. In this case I realized I was making a fuss for nothing. She was experienced and I should listen. If I went another twenty minutes would it really matter. Tomorrow morning I will get up. I’ll be fresh as a daisy and the extra miles will be very easy.
Anyhow I drove all day and as I drove I ate!!!!!!!! Again I ate an apple, sunflower seeds, two lollipops, small bag of chips etc.
I stopped at J & R. It’s a huge discount store. I use to buy a lot of dolls there. Now they don’t seem to have the same attraction. I just bought two small ones. I bought some lipstick etc. The lipsticks were five for 5.00. I met a woman who encouraged me to buy some lotion. She said it was excellent. She helped me choose some foundation. Actually it is a foundation that OPRAH recommends.
I had lunch at Denny’s. Then I drove and drove. I listened to Dr. Laura. I love her philosophy.
I had a delicious supper at a restaurant right across the street from here. Easy! Now I am going to relax and go to sleep early. I have to because I had no nap.
Tomorrow I should be somewhere in Florida. I hope to make it to Daytona Beach. I think there is a HOBBY LOBBY there. From there it will be a hop, skip and a jump to get to my condo.
I spoke to my hubby. He is stressed out because he has a lot of unpacking to do. We had our condo painted and the painter never put the paintings back up. I told him not to worry. I’ll look after everything when I get there.
Our phone is not working and our number night have to be changed. That is one reason I don’t like changing residences. It is hard work and stress to get organized. Once we settle in it will be ok!
So I AM VERY GRATEFUL THAT I AM HAVING A  RELAXED AND EASY DRIVE TO FLORIDA. THE WEATHER IS WARMING UP. I DON’T THINK I’LL NEED A JACKET TOMORROW.
