BUSIER THAN I SHOULD BE

I woke up early and I stated to cook. It’s hot out so it’s probably stupid but what can I tell you. I decided I should/need to cook because I wasn’t playing Canasat this afternoon.
So I am making a yummy chicken soup, a stew and roast chicken. Perfect for a winter day. Maybe eating it tonight will make us feel like winter. LOL!! I set the air at 70 so hopefully it won’t get too hot in here. After everything is up and running I will go swimming and let the food cook itself. I have to stop at the mall to buy some containers for the soup and also mail a birthday card to my sister.  My cleaning lady will be here so hopefully she can separate the soup for me. I like to strain it. I like to put the chicken and vegies into a separate container. I will also prepare some to take to two friends – one has been sick for awhile and the other just came out of the hospital.
Last night we went to friends for supper. We are planning a winter cruise. One of our friends who lives in Florida will look into it for us.
So that’s my day. Time to check the donuts!

I hope your chicken soup turns out ok. 🙂

I never turn the oven on in the summer, it is just too hot, so I use my crock pot a lot, doesn’t heat up the kitchen.

Have you tried the measuring cups with the long spout that goes to the bottom of the cup? When you put the soup in, the fat floats to the top, so when you pour out the contents from the spout, you get the bottom, fat-free soup pouring out.

My mum always cooks in the morning in very hot weather. They typically eat a cold meal in the evening….like cold chicken.
