BRIDAL SHOWER-read

Last night I went to a bridal shower for our friend’s daughter. I haven’t seen her for many years as she lives in Toronto. I was the only one of the old friends who was there. I knew many people so it was ok. The bride to be has a wonderful personality and was so excited. She is over thirty and this is her first marriage. I hope she will be happy. We played several games which were fun. One was giving advice to the bride to be. A common theme was not to do any cooking and to get him to do chores around the house!

I spent the day with my grandson. We went to a few parks but I am so nervous because of the sun that I didn’t stay long. I feel that I should take him out because it is hot and sunny. Next week I won’t worry about it. Let his parents take him. Instead I will take him swimming at an indoor pool and to the shopping center or even just play with him at home. Why expose myself to the sun? I do put suntan lotion on both of us and we wear hats. Why don’t the parks have shade?

This morning I am going to help a friend pack. She is moving in a few weeks and has so much to do. I will only stay a couple of hours. Then I will go pick up some canvasses as I will go to my art studio early Monday morning.

After that it’s off to the campground for the weekend. My hubby went last night.

I bought tickets for the Cirque Du Soleil. I am treating my daughter and daughter-in-law. I am also giving my DIL’s mother the ticket for her birthday. I heard the show is long but hopefully it will be good.

So will read some of your entries and then have to decide if I am going back to bed.

Thanks for your note, Ginger! Wow, you certainly are a busy woman, packing so much into your days. It’s fun to read one of your busy entries!

Cirque! Do you watch it on TV? It is SO WONDERFUL! Which one will it be? They have several of them…ohhhh, that is a wonderful gift to be able to see them!!! We worry alot about the sun here at the high altitude – there are some wonderful sunscreens of about 45 — that strength doesn’t let any sun harm you — lasts all day and no more worry!

I love all the cirque de soliel shows I’ve seen. Let us know how it is & which one you are seeing. I have had several bouts of skin cancer & am very careful in the sun also. I do still get out to enjoy it though, I would go crazy if I couldn’t.

I hope the show is good too. I am careful in the sun too, reddish brown hair and freckles need I say more?? I do tan through the sun block which is so funny, at least I don’t burn. I wear some sun screan every day on my face. I still look my age, but I don’t think I have any skin cancer, but it’s in the family so I am careful. Have a great day!

You must purchase the sunscreen clothing that is now on the market -much better than chemical sunscreens. The tops. pants and hats are very attractive and very effective at the same time.

I hope you have a great weekend!

RYN You can get these sunscreen clothes from a lot of shops. Maybe you can contact your local dermatology association or dermatologist to get a recommendation on where to get these outfits. I have the pants, top and sunhat and bought them at a local store.
