ANOTHER FRIDAY read

Once again I made supper. I invited my niece and M and M so we could say good-bye. Monday afternoon they leave for Africa and will be gone about 6 weeks. I will miss M because she is just about the only person who calls me.

Anyhow L & J were also here with their doggie. I didn’t make a very special supper……….chicken which was dry a bit because I forgot to turn the stove off. Anyhow hubby always complains that the chicken is dry. The mashed potatoes and onions were just a little too greasy. I shouldn’t have put in all the oil from the onions. Oh well, thank goodness I also had smoked turkey. The chopped liver was delicious——a very rich taste. Everyone was tired so didn’t stay late. M slept most of the evening. That’s one reason I stopped making suppers on Friday.

Anyhow from now on I will invite a different couple or couples for supper so we won’t be alone on Friday night. It’s been a tradition in our family for years……..not inviting friends because usually we had enough family but now that everyone moved out of town I will invite friends.

So by ten everyone was gone. The worse part of making supper is all the darn dishes. Maybe I should use plastic next week.
