AN OLD ENTRY RECOPIED – ok

I love my computer

More than I can tell you

There are many reasons
But I’ll just tell you a few

I don’t want to bore you

Or cause you pain

I love my computer

It doesn’t talk back……it doesn’t ask me to do anything…………it doesn’t expect anything and it usually does what I tell it without needing an explanation.

So I spend hours at my computer

Downloading and reading email

Playing a game

Reading a post

Looking for a host

I love my computer

BUT THERE ARE TIMES

When it acts like a kid and doesn’t obey.

I tell it to print and it won’t

I ask it to download and it stops in the middle

I look for a file and it’s disappeared

Sometimes I think my computer is smarter than me

BECAUSE

When it’s time for me to go to bed

My computer jams up and says it’s enough

It takes me awhile to get the message but my computer is insistent

So after a few times when I can’t connect or download or find a file I say OK you’ve won again

I close the computer and kiss it goodnight.

I go up to bed

And lay down my head
Dreaming of my computer and
What we will do tomorrow.
