AN IDEA

Its been tried before, but there’s not enough interest. I found people just double posted anyway.

There is a movement by some people to work on a new site. You can join the list and they’ll keep you informed. I’m on my phone now so I can’t find the link but I will tomorrow. If I forget pls remind me!

Check out one of my latest entries titled “Grab an oar.” If you sign up now, you will be notified if/when OD ever goes down. Lots of folks have already signed up (I think over 250 at this point). No one wants to leave OD, but if the boat does sink, we don’t want to lose our special place, or our diaries.

As soon as people realize what tremendous work goes into a site like this, they opt out. The best way is to support OD-volunteers and owner for the unbelievable time they spend on keeping this place running.They spend time doing this instead of spending it with their families or other good things in their lives. We don’t realize what it takes. I listed on the lifeboat as well, but we will never have a place like OD ever again.

i certainly don’t want od to go away but i joined the lifeboat and another journaling site where i write for myself. i joined the lifeboat thinking i’d never need it but i joined just in case. i hope all my friends end up there. take care,

I am with MysticalMuse on this.. now is the time we should be supporting the DM and his wonderful volunteers to make sure we are here forever.. It is a very big and rather thankless task they are doing.
