A WONDERFUL DAY – OK

Today was the first day of Rosh Hoshonah. In the morning I was up early. I prepared a salad and a few other things. We walked to shul and met the kids on the way. It was a beautiful sunny cool day. We stayed at shul for about an hour and a half. The kids were a little bored and ate there way through the time. I can’t say I blame them as everything is done in Hebrew and they don’t understand anything. My kids went to a private Jewish day School so they had a lot of background.
The Rabbi told us that we shouldn’t shake hands when we wish people a Happy New Year. Instead we should just touch elbow to elbow???????????
Anyhow we returned home and had lunch. It was wonderful being together even though it was hectic. I still have to clean up but there is no rush. I am reheating supper from last night. After that I’ll do some more cleaning. We have decided not to go to shul tomorrow. Instead I will gather my urine for 24 hours. We have a checkup on October 5th. On Monday I am going for a bone density test so will bring the urine then.
Wishing everyone a very HEALTHY year.
I am a little disappointed because my daughter hasn’t called all week. She was never good at calling but I would think she would call for the holidays. Oh well.

That elbow to elbow thing probably has to do with the H1N1 virus — they are telling people everywhere not to touch each other and to sneeze in their sleeves and all that stuff — precaution to staying healthy in crowds. I’m thinking your daughter WILL call soon — I’m sure she misses you for the holidays.

Gathering urine on a Saturday night! LOL!

Was the elbow-to-elbow to help prevent the spread of the flu or other illnesses? It sounds funny, but it is probably safer.

Sounds like lots of testing urine and of osteoporosis. I pray you do not have osteoporosis. It can be very painful. Thanks for your note. Hope you hear from your daughter soon. Love,

Happy New Year 🙂 I hope you get that call from your daughter…

Hey it is the flu thing, we are not supposed to shake hands anymore. Kind of makes me sad really.
