A CLOUD OF GLOOM-edited-read

(Thanks for the encouraging notes) I may be making too much of things and thinking negatively. The doctor put me on antibiotics last week for a bladder infection. There was blood in my urine. She told me to give another sample on Monday to see if it’s gone. So I did! I can’t help thinking it is something more sinister. I am not sure when I’ll know. I am not calling her. If it’s "bad" news let her call me. But as I go through my day it is in the back of my mind and I guess I am worried.
Yesterday I had my grandson for the day. It was beautiful so we went to the park in the morning. In the afternoon we had a nap and then played in the house. I let him play with my accordion and guitar which he loved.
At night I went for coffee with some very old friends. It was fun reminiscing.
Today I have my grandson again. I will take him to a swimming pool which is at a swimming complex, in the morning. I haven’t been there before so a little anxious about being there with him but I will give it a try.
I find it hard to know what to do with him. If it is sunny it’s no problem as we can go to the park but I think the forecast is for rain. Time to go back to bed.

A bladder infection is really nothing to worry about. And how old is your grandson now?

I know how you feel about that bladder infection and feeling something else might be wrong — it is such a darn vulnerable part of the body and … you tend to be aware of it! I hope they call soon and tell you it is all clear!!! – Fun with the grandson – yes, swimming seems a little early too…. brrrrr!

I think all doctors have you give a second sample, just to see if the infection is cleared up; it’s really nothing to worry about. I take 2 cranberry fruit capsules every day to help prevent them; I was getting them frequently, and it’s really helped.

I hope you don’t have to wait long to find out. Waiting is very stressful! Here’s wishing you a happy day with your grandson; I bet having him over will help take your mind off worries a bit. hugs, Weesprite

Waiting for reports is the pits. I’m sure yours is ok; they’re just checking to make sure the infection is gone.

waiting is the worst. Our minds can play some crazy tricks on us when we’re feeling vulnerable. Take it easy and I’m sure everything will turn out just fine. take care of you

It’s hard waiting for test results. I will pray for you to get better soon. Have a fun day with your grandson!!

If they gave you antibiotics, then it probably is just a bladder infection… they would have checked your urine for infection as well as for blood, so this next time they’ll be able to tell you whether the infection is gone. They didn’t find an infection when I went in, so I’m still not sure what’s causing the blood in my urine. I had to have a CT scan and they’re going to do a few more tests

on my urine, so we’ll see. My friend’s sister had blood in her urine and they never figured out why… but she’s fine now, so sometimes stuff like this happens. More than likely you’re just fine, so try not to worry! {{{hugs}}}

I sure hope everything is ok and it’s just a bladder infection. That’s scary stuff. GL, Latas.

It’s tough facing up to possible serious health problems, but you will deal with whatever it is, I’m sure…. I hope you get the word that you’re okay and just fine, but I think, based on what I’ve read of your diary, nothing is going to take you down without a real battle.

sending good, positive thoughts your way…

It will be ok….Blood in your urine is quite normal with a bladder infection… It sounds worse than it is, honest! Breathe!!!! And your Grandson? He won’t care at this age, as long as he’s with you! Just enjoy!

I can understand your concern but although it may be serious, there are a zillion reasons for that symptom. Try not to worry unless there is something to worry about…you will feel better ! hugs
