A CHOICE GIFT-read

I was reading a magazine and one sentence seemed to illuminate the landscape of my mind like a flash of lightning in a midnight sky.
A simple sentence…….but a thought so forceful it can change our lives. What is this dynamic sentence? Simply this: We have the right to choose our thoughts." THINK OF IT. We don’t need to be depressed. We can choose cheer.
We don’t need to be fearful; we can choose confidence.
We don’t need to be discouraged; we can choose hope.
We don’t need to be harried; we can choose serenity.
Failure? We can choose success. Loneliness? We can choose love. Defeat? We can choose victory.

We have been given the gift of  free will. We must not squander this splendid gift on foolish fear and negative attitudes.

MY COMMENT: EASIER SAID THAN DONE.

It’s easier to have free will over thoughts with Prozac. Changes in brain chemistry interfere with free thought.

I have found using the words “FREE WILL” is a better way to put all these thoughts. but then what do I know…i am just a Canadian…..

I agree, it IS much easier said then done!

So true! It isn’t possible to simply psych yourself into a happy state of mind when there are real problems, some of them physiological that are causing the depression. Sometimes we need to be sad. And sometimes we need to be concerned. Life isn’t just one big bowl of cherries! We have a lot to learn and it requires many emotions. However, I do agree that Prozac helps tremendously!

It might be easier said than done, but some people are too lazy to give it a decent try. I’ve found that it is worth the effort. hugs, Weesprite
