The past few days have been very hot and humid. I hate it. We’ve also had more than our share of rain. I came here Thursday with my grandson and ex DIL. It was a bit awkward at times. Of course it rained so we couldn’t go to the park or anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had lunch and then he played on the computer. We took them to the airport about five thirty. We couldn’t believe how long the line was. This is a very small city and smaller airport. A lot of people come from Canada as the tickets are much cheaper. It’s only about an hour away. We went for supper to Taco Bell and then to the movie I already mentioned.
Yesterday was a shopping day. I went to the quilt store and bought some fabric for the back of my baby quilt. It is a really wild and colorful pattern. This afternoon I started to quilt it. The lines are not straight but I hope in the end it will be ok. if it isn’t I’ll keep it for myself and make another one for the baby. The baby isn’t due until January so I have plenty of time. I also started a rag baby quilt so maybe I’ll give that one as a present.
I also went to Penneys and bought some shorts, sleeveless shirts and bras. Everything was on sale!!
Last night friends came over and we played Canasta again. FUN! Tonight we are playing bridge with another couple.
This afternoon was the campground’s corn roast. I went but didn’t stay too long as it is very HOT and HUMID!!! I had two hodogs, corn etc. There were about 300 people. The owners are very organized and in no time people were fed. I left as they started to call out raffle tickets. Even if I won I wouldn’t go get the "gift."
I am doing very well rereading my diary. I click on random entries in my diary and read as many as I can. I realized that I have been downloading my diary and may have some entries that I don’t want anyone to read so I deleted all the entires I downloaded.
I bought two keys at Walmart and put them on a chain. Different and cute as a necklace.
In our newspaper today I read about courses given for stepparents. I am going to try to find out about the courses. Maybe I could offer them in Montreal. I am sure many parents could use them. I took a Family Life education course years ago so I am probably qualified to give them.
So I will go do more quilting and get ready to play bridge.

Sounds like you are having a good time, I am glad to hear it, the weather here has been darn near perfect lastnight and today. Feels like fall! Take Care 🙂

just spending that time with grandson around would have been delightful despite the weather. Hugs P

There’s not enough education for parents, let alone step-parents. I found step-parenting to be completely unrewarding! I doubt there was any way it could have turned out good unless I made friends with their mother. That’s probably the first thing a new step-parent should work on. I can tell you all the things NOT to do. LOL.

That downloading business is hard work, isn’t it? I made most of my diary private, but have reopened it because I missed my OD friends. Glad to be back, but geez, what a lot of work to make most of it private. Those “easy instructions” didn’t seem to work for me.
